3 styles of BullsEye Boat Sights™ to choose from and a variety of colors. Use the contact area down at the bottom to get started.

ABOUT BULLSEYE BOAT SIGHT

BullsEye Boat Sight™ was used by Pro drivers at Minnesota State Championships, Midwest Regionals, 70th Goode National Water Ski Championships, and the Ski Nautique Big Dawg World Tour Finals. BullsEye Boat Sight™ is gaining popularity among tournament slalom skiers as they find value in getting a good consistent boat path for practice and competition. Younger drivers and less skilled experienced older drivers will find that driving is easier with BullsEyes mounted on the bow.
On the right is one of the head to head Big Dawg Final 8 towboats with BullsEye Boat Sight™ mounted on the bow. These boats also were used to pull all 50 Ski Nautique Big Dawg contestants through the several rounds of qualifications leading up to the final 8 skiers for the finals at Okeheelee Park on August 17, 2012.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1- Determine BullsEye Locations on the Bow
Put some strips of tape on the bow and then use an observer and a driver to drive the boat about 30 mph or something easy and exactly down the center of the course observing where the right hand boat guides visually "hit" the edge of the boat bow. Keep in mind that the red entry and exit gates are wider spacing so don't use them to for this exercise. Use the green pregates and skier buoy gates to find center for the boat and to find where those right hand guides "hit" the bow relative to your tape marks.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Step 2-
Observe
Below is an example of boat guide that visually "hit" the far right hand tape mark because that tape mark is ponted at the center of the boat guide.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Step 3- Verify
Drive through the course to verify accuracy. Make adjustments and repeat step 1 or 2 if neccessary.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Step 4- Mounting (Part 1)
Now let's say the boat guides hit the center tape. This means you need a BullsEye to the right and the left of the center tape mark. Clean the area with alcohol. Remove the outer tape lines and lighly touch a BullsEye down on the outer ege of the deck to right of center as shown below. Do not press down tight because you will need to remove and adjust a couple times to get to the optimum location.

Step 5-
Mounting (Part 2)
Remove the front tape line and lighly touch down the forward BullsEye which is now the left of center marker. Roughly speaking the distance between the 2 markers will end up about 7 and 3/4 inches apart front to rear, give or take, depending on the shape of the bow. Remove the remaining tape and take some some passes with an oberver to fine tune.
Leave a wide enough "hole" between the markers so all drivers can get the guide through the hole. Refer to the videos on the home page. The tighter the spacing the more accurate you are if you can thread the needle. When satisfied you can press down and hold 10 seconds to get a good bite from the tape. To remove later bend the BullsEye back and slowly let the tape release or use a razor knife to carefuly cut the tape as you bend the BullsEye back. When driving please remember to do no harm to the skier. Drive smooth and adjust your path with a fluid motion. Stay left of center when driving through the entry and exit gates because they are wider; 8 feet vs 6 feet on current courses.

Step 6- - ENJOY
Driving better = More bouys for the skier! Less slack rope and less being pulled out the front of the ski.

TO REMOVE after attachment for a long time - Simply lean the unit sideways until adhesive breaks a seal, then gently pull away with fingers. You may carefully use a razor knife to cut the tape while peeling the unit back. Do not scrape the surface to remove adhesive with anything that can scratch the gel coat finish. Goo Gone® and a plastic scraper should work if you don't get overly aggressive. If a quick attach system is desirable because you have a tight travel cover or else you need to attach to a bow rail then you will want to use the 3M Dual Lock™ optional attachment system. Putting a travel cover on for rain or sun protection without traveling does not require you to remove the BullsEyes when attached with the tape.
